Women Leading Tech: Rokt’s Elizabeth Buchanan on Confidence, Pay, Transparency and the Silicon Valley

Elizabeth Buchanan, the Chief Commercial Officer at e-commerce technology company Rokt, has shared her thoughts on how to encourage the development of female talent in the tech industry. Buchanan, who has a background in media buying and co-founded agency The White Agency, believes that women should be pushed out of their comfort zones in order to build confidence, as research shows that they tend to be less likely to negotiate, put their hand up or interrupt during the recruitment process. Buchanan also highlighted the importance of transparency in remuneration at Rokt, where staff can see the exact salaries of every role in the business, which has helped to address issues of equality and diversity.
